About Us

Gary Dolowich, M.D., B.Ac., Dipl.Ac., founder of Jade Mountain Health Centre, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1971 and did general practice for seven years before studying at the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in England. He now integrates Five Element acupuncture, Zero Balancing, and Jungian techniques with Western biomedicine in his medical practice.

Gary has taught Chinese Medicine since 1983. He has been a faculty member at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland, and currently teaches at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida and the Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, California.

He has contributed numerous articles to The Journal of Traditional Acupuncture. In 2002, Gary co-authored the book Ancient Roots, Many Branches: Energetics of Healing Across Cultures & Through Time with Darlena L'Orange. He has recently completed the writing of Archetypal Acupuncture: Healing with the Five Elements, which is available from Jade Mountain Publishing.

The spiritual teachings of ancient China and the work of Carl Jung have long been an inspiration to Gary on his own life journey.

Dr. Dolowich offers workshops around the country in Archetypal Acupuncture™, his own synthesis of the traditional Five Element model with Jungian archetypal thinking.

Sena Dolowich is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience in agency settings, including renal dialysis, adoptions, and foster care. She has maintained a private psychotherapy practice since 1981, focusing on personal growth issues, couples counseling, and the challenges presented by life transitions.
